How access works at SRQ
SRQ sets the highest bar in the region. The Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority requires an agreement or a permit for any aeronautical activity, including operators who aren't based there, and aircraft detailing is named in its minimum standards. Commercial operators apply for an Annual Operating Permit, and the permit form asks for $5 million in general liability and $5 million in auto coverage. Everyone working airside wears an Authority security badge.
Outside providers are encouraged to work as sublessees of an FBO. Tell us your tail and date and we'll confirm, before anything is booked, how we'd be working at SRQ.
Venice
Venice Municipal is a city airport with a 5,640-foot runway and Skyport Aviation as its FBO. We arrange access through the FBO and work to the City's minimum standards.
Getting there
About 45 minutes to SRQ and a little over an hour to Venice. Travel is a flat $95 either way, and every other price is the same as it is in Tampa and St. Petersburg.
